The Workshop referral network is currently paused. If you were looking to refer a young person to creative classes, there are still options available!
Please email enquiries at info@theworkshop.org.uk or call us on 01553 277919 to discuss.
The Workshop referral network group meets each term to discuss opportunities available for young people and their families and to network with other referral agencies to signpost services and activities across the county.
Members are invited to refer young people onto our Foundations courses which run termly here at The Workshop. And we welcome referrals from new partners – you don’t have to be on our mailing list or have attended a meeting. If you work with young people that you think would benefit from our Foundations programme, we want to hear from you.
The Foundations courses are one-hour weekly creative courses in Drama, Music and Dance Foundations, which run for 10 weeks, currently for groups aged 7-18 years. The sessions use a variety of games and activities in a fun and friendly environment. The focus of the sessions is to help build confidence, increase self-esteem and raise aspirations.
The courses aim to give young people both the personal and practical skills to then progress onto our Big Breaks scheme which entitles them to a year’s place on our class programme.
For any enquiries relating to the Referral Network, the Foundations courses or Big Breaks initiatives please contact either:
