Roaring Success: Celebrating the Dragon Festival in King’s Lynn

This past Saturday, 8th November, King’s Lynn was ablaze with creativity, community spirit, and a touch of dragon magic as the town-wide Dragon Festival took flight! From 10am to 3pm, organisations across the area joined forces to offer a day of free, family-friendly fun – and what a day it was.

A Shared Celebration

The festival was a true testament to the power of collaboration. Local groups and organisations came together in a unified celebration, each contributing their own spark to the day’s festivities. It wasn’t just an event – it was a moment of connection, joy, and shared purpose that brought the community closer than ever.

Crafting with Fire-Breathing Flair

At The workshop, we threw open the doors and welcomed families of all ages to get crafty. Visitors could choose from three unique dragon designs to make and take home, and the creativity on display was nothing short of inspiring. Glitter, scales, wings, and wild imaginations filled the room as new friendships were forged over glue sticks and googly eyes.

Question of the Week: Where Would Your Dragon Lair Be?

Our popular voting board returned with a fiery twist. This time, we asked: Where would your dragon lair be? The answers were as varied as they were imaginative, from deep forests, ancient castle ruins and underwater palaces. It sparked wonderful conversations and plenty of giggles.

Welcoming New Faces

Throughout the day, we were thrilled to welcome many new families into our space. It was a joy to share our work and mission with fresh faces and to see the excitement ripple through the King’s Lynn community. The energy was infectious, and the building buzzed with laughter and discovery.

A Festival to Remember

What made this event truly magical was the collective effort. So many organisations, one shared vision. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength and warmth of our community. We hope this is just the beginning, and that the Dragon Festival becomes a beloved annual tradition for families far and wide.

Here’s to more fire-breathing fun, more shared celebrations, and more magical moments in the years to come.
