Beyond the Building: What We’re Up To

Even though our building at 38 New Conduit St is now closed, we’re very much alive and kicking. The work, the creativity, and the community continue – just in new spaces and new ways.

Theatre Company: On their way to Connections!

Our brilliant Theatre Company haven’t slowed down for a second. They’ve been rehearsing over at Discovery Centre as they prepare to take to the stage for National Theatre Connections 2026.

They’ll be bringing Cloud Busting by Helen Blakeman to life on 9 April, 6pm before heading over to the Connections Festival at our sister site, The Garage Norwich!

The energy in rehearsals has been electric and the cast is ready. See what’s peaking from the clouds by securing a ticket!

Creative Confidence Course: Now Live!

We’ve just launched Creative Confidence, a new course for 11-16 year olds who are Freebridge Tenants and/or receive free school meals.

Across 10-weeks, you will explore drama, movement and crafts, working with professional tutors to explore creativity, self-expression, promote positive wellbeing and build confidence along the way. Then at the end of the programme, you’ll celebrate everything you’ve learned by inviting friends and family to a sharing.

The best part? It’s completely free, thanks to our funders at Norfolk Community Foundation, and every session includes hot food provided by our friends at Poco Lounge.

Book your spot for the 10-week programme!

Upcoming Shows You Won’t Want To Miss!

Blubber: 24 April, 7.30pm

Created by The Hale and Katie Greenall, Blubber is a joyous, flowing piece of storytelling that places kindness and care at the centre. Katie and Body take us on a journey through forgiveness, beauty and whales as they ask: What does care look like for a fat body? It’s tender, funny and full of heart.

Call Me John: 16 May, 7.30pm

Reflex Theatre revives this local tale of love, conflict, loss and hope that spans generations and beyond. John is worried he will be forgotten when he’s gone, when his troubled grandson comes to visit and he decides to share his life story in the hope of inspiring him. But can his history really connect with the “youth of today?” A moving story about legacy, memory and what we pass on.

This is a moment of change, but it’s also a moment of momentum. We’ve got new shows in the pipeline, new opportunities, and some big announcements on the horizon about where we’ll be based. Stick with us – there’s a lot happening behind the scenes and we can’t wait to share it with you very soon! Thank you for each and every supporter along the journey, we are truly grateful to be part of a wonderful community.
